FIND YOUR NORTH STAR - FINDING YOUR PURPOSE
A simple and holistic approach to finding your purpose.
I have spent my entire adult life trying to figure out this “purpose” thing. I have taken classes and still no dice.
Then the one day I decided it was time to give it all up, it showed up. The one thing I would do even if I weren’t getting paid for it. The one thing I spend all my day thinking about, doing, feeling, loving. It just showed up.
The one thing that had been a constant in my life, I couldn’t believe it. I had a purpose, I had a North Star, and it was there all along.
My work as a lightworker, a Personal Development Person, a Guruette. My goal to touch one person each day. It turned out that one person was me. And My North Star is you.
The constant in my life is knowing that each message in a bottle I send out, perhaps reaches one person.
I have not reached the “changed a life” status, or perhaps I cannot tell myself I have the right to say that at this point, but that is a goal. Wait, I have changed a life, I have changed mine.
The day I decided to give it all up, I realized that I would continue to write, continue to come up with workbooks, worksheets and more many never see the light of day, but I would do it anyways. It was the day I found my North Star, the constant in my life, the one I turned to for everything, Self Help Tools.
Your Purpose isn’t supposed to be a challenge.
It turns out finding your purpose wasn’t the challenge it had been made out to be, just like everything that is supremely important in your life has always been right there waiting for you to discover it.
The Simple and Holistic Approach to Finding your Purpose
What do you love doing, something you do well, something you can learn to do better, something that you’d do even if you weren’t paid a dime? Your NorthStar.
What is that one thing that makes you lose track of time and feel moments of transcendence?
Don’t make the “Finding your Purpose” game an unwinnable challenge.
A Final Word
Many of us are not born precisely knowing who we are and what we want to be, do, and have. Most of us have to find the path, then cut through the brush of the jungle that is life and it’s real challenges.
Forget the word “purpose,” what gives you joy, what makes your heart sing. Remember people have made millions and billion dollar industries from the most mundane things. Why should you be different? Maybe you don’t want to create a billion-dollar industry, that is just fine.
