The Power of Setting Intentions
The Power of Setting Intentions
Intentions are one of the top ten self-help tools. I call it the instant gratification tool. Set the intention, and watch with amazement as your intentions manifest with little effort on your part.
Setting intentions is an easy tool to use; you just say what you want to manifest and voila! "Today, I want to do this, this, and this. Things just fall into place, and at a certain point. You just have to make a conscious effort not to sabotage yourself by consciously wasting time or doing things contradictory to what you want to create.
If you stick to these rules, remain positive, you have the formula to use intentions successfully.
Simple Rule: When you set intentions, it is up to you to get on the frequency of what you want to manifest.
Setting intentions is a must-have for your morning routine. It is like telling the universe, "this is what I want to happen to me and for me today, thank you." Even if you have only a 50% chance of the intentions you set for yourself happening, it is still 50% more than if you did not use this tool.
Why is setting intentions important?
It helps you take control of your day. It gives you an outline of the actions you have to take to accomplish your goals for the day.
You become proactive; like a chess player, you can think a few steps ahead.
It gives your subconscious mind results to manifest.
It will reduce the amount of stress you will encounter in your day.
It gives you a sense of accomplishment at the end of your day.
Whenever you make plans, you should start by visualizing the results you want to get. You already have an idea of what you want to get done in the day; take the extra step to guarantee your success?
You can set intentions for everything in your life. Everything you do starts with a decision on your part. Add the extra magic of the power of setting intentions and create the life of your dreams.
Quick Story
I use this tool for everything, even mundane stuff like groceries and parking. The other day I had to go grocery shopping, I had to go to two grocery stores on about three miles apart, get back home, find parking, and get to work.
So I declared: I will go to both grocery stores, get everything I need, get done in 45 minutes, come home and park in my favorite spot, and get to work. Not only did this happen as I declared, but I also had five minutes to spare.
This story is just one small example of the fantastic results of setting intentions.
How to Set Intentions?
Start your day with the outcome in mind. Visualize. Before you start your day, think about what you want to accomplish and how you want to feel at the end of the day. You don't have to think about how these things will get done; they will take care of themselves. Also, most of these will be done by you effortlessly.
Before you start a project, think of the outcome. What you want the project to look like when completed? Who needs to see it? What do you want them to say or do when they see it? What impact do you want this project to have on your life?
Setting intentions and visualizing the outcome allows you to take control of your life. Intentions are a tool for moving forward in a positive direction.
Do this every day, and you will manifest the life of your dreams, how's that for taking control?
