Leave the mirror and change your face. Leave the world alone and change your conceptions of yourself. ~ Neville Goddard
You have the Power to Change What You See
Ignore what you see in the mirror and create the person you want to be in your mind. Ignore the world, and use your imagination to create the world you want to live in, and watch that new truth manifest right before your eyes.
Neville Goddard’s brilliant insights into the power of imagination changed my life. He teaches the concept of changing the way you think and therefore, changing your life using the power of active visualization (your imagination). One of my favorite Self-Help Tools, visualization is one of those mind tools that people never really explain properly.
Active Visualization in a Nutshell
Passive Visualization: you imagine the life that you desire, you create vivid images of the life you want and activate the law of attraction. With passive visualization, you are watching a movie of your life as you want it to be, then you get up, open your eyes, and you are back in your reality.
With Active Visualization, you become an active daily participant in the movie. You live as though you are the Star of the movie. You are living the movie of your perfect life everyday. You wake up, and dress like the star of the movie would. You speak as the star of the movie would. You present yourself to the world each day as the star of your movie would. You live in your imagination, and present your best self to the world. The best part of this, is that you don’t have to spend a dime. Just go to your closet and pick the clothes that make you feel like your best self, and you are off to a great start.
Change the Way you See your World
You are living your visualization by seeing the world as you wish it to be. You are kind to people because you want to see a kinder world. You dress for success because you are a success. Remember to count all your successes big and small and you will find yourself on the frequency of success.
You make your home the home of your dreams even as you look at the sofa that is ready to hit the sidewalk, or the Salvation Army truck, and see the beautiful new sofa posted on your vision board instead.
“You have to be the change you want to see” is what that famous quote says not, “You have to see and look at longingly the change you would like to be.”
So, Leave the mirror and change your face. Leave the world alone and change your conceptions of yourself and live as your Best Self Now.
