Create your Morning Routine AIM - Levnow

Create a Morning Routine

Do you have a morning routine? Would it go anything like this: Alarm goes off, you whine, hit snooze, curse the morning and why you have to go to work? Then you spend the day irritated because your day snowballs down a path that just makes you wish you never got out of bed.

Would you rather wake up, hit the alarm, take 5 to 10 minutes to bless the day, bless yourself, and say your morning affirmation. Then you set your intentions for an awesome day, center yourself with meditation, and connect to your source.

The later is a lot let effortless than it sounds. Once you have your super simple morning routine done, get out of bed, and start your day knowing you have enlisted the help of the Universe (God) to help you live as your best-self today.

What I described above is my super easy morning routine. I call it the AIM plan:

I do this because, I don’t get out of bed early enough to do the long form morning routine, but based on my simple AIM practice, 75% of my mind, body, and soul goals are met, and done by me in an effortless way. Most times I laugh, because I know I would not accomplish as much as I do, if I don’t do this simple five to ten minute morning routine.

The AIM method works for me right now, as soon as I outgrow it I will make the necessary adjustments, but there will always be a morning routine.

I have a free AIM Cheat Sheet for you below.

Create your Morning Routine {Mind, Body & Soul Option}
There are mind, body, and soul options for your morning routine, it all depends on your mornings and how much time you have for your morning routine. The best is to do a combination of all three, but as always, you have to find the one that works for you.

Centering Option {soul}
You can perform centering activities like prayer, meditation, journaling, visualization, spiritual literature, and more, to give you a sense of connection.

Physical Option {body}
You can have a physical routine for strength, flexibility, and energy by doing your morning workout routine. Once again, depending on how much time you have, you can go running, or go to the gym. You can also workout in your living room.

Control Option {mind}
Your other option is to add a mind routine to the mix to help give you a sense of control for your day, like setting intentions, visualizing your day, affirmations, motivational literature and more to give you the mental rocket fuel you need to power through the day.

These options are just a small sampling of what you can add to your morning routine. Create a system to help you live your best life now.

The ideal morning routine should have a mix of mind, body, soul options, and you can do up to six items in your allotted time. This world is yours to create. Go for it.

One Last Thing
Your morning routine is your “Me Time.” You have chosen to dedicate this time to taking care of yourself, physically, mentally, and emotionally. This tool is one of the most important ones in your Self-help toolbox. Dedicate five minutes to one hour to jumpstart your day for success.
