I ran into the book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo and thought, why not, it is spring cleaning season and it looked like a fun read. Little did I know that the book would change the way I live. Oh what fun!

The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, the Japanese art of Decluttering and Organizing is such an easy book to read, the practical applications can be implemented the same day on some of the things she talks about. You will thoroughly enjoy it. Even if you are the tidiest person ever, there a still a few tips here and there that will change the way you organize your stuff. I know this because one of my best friends is the tidiest person on earth and even she sent me pictures of her sock/legging drawer just from a conversation we had about this book.

With the KonMari Method, this is what the author Marie Kondo named her tidying style, Marie wants you to dump everything in the middle of your room and tackle the clutter in one fell swoop. She wants you to sort (more…)

Using the Abraham-Hicks Emotional Guidance Scale

The Abraham-Hicks Emotional Guidance Scale lists a spectrum of emotion from positive
(Joy / Appreciation / Empowered / Freedom / Love( #1)) to super negative (Fear / Depression / Despair / Powerlessness (#22)).

The Emotional Guidance Scale is based on the principle that your emotions are vibrational indicators of your alignment to Source (God). The better you feel, the closer you are in aliment to God. The worse you feel is the indicator that you need to move your behind and do someone to feel better now.

Your emotional vibrations also put you on the frequency you need to manifest the things that you want. Also, I have to let you know that negative emotions also manifest things, so on both ends of the scale, you are manifesting.
Your goal is to keep yourself hovering around emotion 1 to 5 on the scale.

You know the saying, “your now creates your future?” It pretty much means that if you choose to feel like crap now, you are guiding your beautiful boat into miserable waters. If you choose to feel good now, you are guiding your boat to the land of sunshine and lollipops. I always ask myself, “Which one do you want?” That usually snaps me out of my melancholy and helps me pull up myself up the scale.

How to Manifest a Clutter-Free Home

Learn how a few mind tweaks can help you with your clutter problem and help you create a clutter-free home.

Thoughts are things, so if you constantly worry about picking up that clutter that has been bugging you forever, things will only get worse, because the thing you focus on you create, so if you are worrying about clutter, you will create clutter. I promise you it is that simple.

Issue:
My bedroom looks like I put it in a blender
Question: What have I been thinking?
“I need to tidy my room, I wish my room were tidier, I need to pick up stuff, I need to vacuum, I need to put things away.” Ahhh!

What the Universe has so graciously given me:
I get a room that I have to constantly tidy. It must satisfy my “need to tidy,” my “need to pick up my stuff.” The Universe has given me my vivid vision of my room looking like I just ran it through a blender.

Now I know exactly what I have done to create the blended mess of my that is my bedroom. It is time to change the thought that created the mess.

Change your Thoughts, Change your life.

A New Set of Thoughts
My bedroom is a sanctuary. I love my bedroom. I get such a sense of peace, calm and relaxation when I am in my bedroom. We get a glorious night’s sleep in our bedroom. I love, love, love our bed. I wake up feeling rested and ready for the day.

I charge that awesome new thoughts with creative visualization. I see:
The bedroom is perfect. The room is a minimalist haven of good rest, fun, love and joy. The crisp sheets, fluffy pillows, and the pristine air of tidy, the room leaves me feeling like the hotel staff just walked out the door.

Oh! Yes! Now I am Feeling It

I think of myself borrowing into the sheets, soft, warm and ready to cuddle. Lights out, quiet fills my mind with such peace and joy. I am ready to turn my to-do list over to The Manager. I Picture my goals, the things I want in my life. I walk into those visions and the beautiful tendrils of sleep pull me into its warm embrace.

Ahhhh Bliss! Goodnight Moonlight.

In January, I start reading one or more of my best books on manifesting or the Law of Attraction. I alway feel these books give my year a good boost.

While these books run the gamut from metaphysical to almost religious literature, one thing they all have in common is that the theories and practical steps they prove have worked for me. So I make it a point to start the year with a selection from my list of Best Books on Manifesting.

1. Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires

Ask and It is given by Esther Hicks – Understanding the work of Esther Hicks, opened the world of the Law of Attraction to me. One of the most important things I found in this book is the Emotional Guidance Scale, simply stated, the worse you feel, the further away from your Source you are, the further away you are from your Source, the further away you are from the frequency of manifesting. The Hicks provide tools to help you keep on the better side of the Emotional Guidance Scale and as soon as you learn to stay there, the sooner the doors to manifesting your dreams open. (more…)
