Productivity Tip – Tapping into Your Creative Muse

Tapping into your Creative Muse Tapping into Your Creative Muse

Tips on getting things done, while you dance your ass off and connect to the Universal Creative Source.

What music makes you vibrate and feel like you can conquer the world?

Have you ever had a night or day when you were super productive, and everything just flowed out of you effortlessly, only to be followed by a day or two that you slumped down on the sofa and binge-watched Netflix, and the only thing clicking in the house was your remote control? Maybe it was a week of taking care of everyone else’s needs and putting the next chapter of your novel on the back burner only to return six months later to find you have no idea where to start.

Take Back Your Power With The Three-Step Fear Detox

The Three-Step Fear Detox

The Three-Step Fear Detox

Looking for a fear detox?
Is it time to face your fear and get your house in order? What is holding you back? Are you bogged down by debt, bad relationships you will not face up to, your past mistakes, or are you in such a rut that you cannot even begin to see a starting point?

Well, that is what I am giving you here, a starting point. If fear is what is holding you back, then it is time to face that fear. I have created a three-step fear detox that I turn to whenever I feel fear trying to get its talons into me. I know these steps will help you too. I mostly believe step number three is the key.

The Three-Step Fear Detox

Step One

Make a list of the top five “biggest” things you have in your life right now.

I am not talking about things like clearing clutter, except if you are a candidate for that famous TV show, but clutter is a symptom, not the fear itself. We’re digging deeper than that. So, I am talking about feeling overwhelmed, fear of losing a job, bills, bad relationships, illness: the big things. I realize that what might be big for you might not be for others, no one is judging you. (more…)

Powerful Morning Routine to Prepare your Mind for a New Day

Powerful Morning Routine to Prepare your Mind for a New Day

Powerful Morning Routine to Prepare your Mind for a New Day

What happens when you drag the drama from yesterday to today? Here is a powerful morning routine for awesomeness that I use.

I am not a morning person, but I can tell if I have woken up on a brand new day having dragged along some of the not so great feelings from the day before. The other day I woke up after having what I felt was a seriously unproductive Sunday, I was resting and building up my strength instead of writing posts, editing pictures, doing my coaching homework or something I considered super productive.

I had also gone to bed thinking, boy, what a wasted day. Can you imagine falling asleep to that soundtrack, no wonder I woke up in a funk?

Catch yourself if you are not in a beautiful state.

I woke up that morning, and I knew, there was no way I was getting out of bed feeling like that. Then I remembered, wait, I don’t have to feel like this, I can choose exactly how I want my morning to be, how I want to feel, and by George, I was going to have a great day.

10 Ways to Practice Gratitude Daily

10 Ways to Practice Gratitude Daily

Gratitude is the simple act of counting your blessings. Sometimes those blessings seem hard to find, but you should start, even if it is the smallest thing you can think of, like waking up, before you know it you will have more and more to be grateful for in your life. Soon, you are beaming around town radiating gratitude. There is always a reason to be grateful.

Ways to Practice Gratitude

Wake Up to Gratitude
Start your day with gratitude. When you open your eyes in the morning, your first words should be “Thank you.” You should start your day saying, thank you. Just do it, don’t argue, morning person or not, you woke up today, so say thank you.

I use the Gratitude Mantra from the moment I sit up in bed, put my slippers on, and start my day. I just repeat the words, “thank you.”

Pay attention and try to notice things you can be grateful for throughout your day.

Gratitude Journal
A Gratitude Journal can be anything from a plain notebook to a fancy journal, or an actual Gratitude Journal. This practice is for those who love journaling as a self-help tool.

In your journal, you write a list of things you are grateful for each day. Most people journal first thing in the morning or at night before they go to sleep. There are no rules; I would suggest using your journal whenever the spirit moves you.

Gratitude Mantra
Saying the words, “Thank You,” as a mantra. I love this form of practicing gratitude, as I have found it to be the quickest way for me to change my mood. If I find myself stumbling out of my joy zone, as in, I noticed that my emotions have slipped out of optimal happiness mode. I just repeat the words, thank you, over and over and in less than two minutes I am feeling better. (more…)

Be Patient Poem by Rainer Maria Rilke

Be Patient Poem by Rainer Maria Rilke

Be Patient Poem by Rainer Maria Rilke

Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue.

Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything.

Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.

Levnow Poetry for your Soul Series

This is part of the Levnow Poetry for your Soul Series. As a new fan of peotry I am starting to love the lessons woven into the prose. I hope you enjoy these as a little break from the someone but not really heavy self-help posts.

My Takeaway from the poem Be Patient by Rainer Maria Rilke

This poem is a reminder to live in the moment, the questions about tomorrow cannot be answered today, so why bother. Remember the present is all you have, use it to create the future of your dreams.

Sending you light and love,
